GENERAL NEWS AND INFORMATION
DEVELOPMENT GROUP PROGRESS REPORT
During the past few months between 26 and 32 children aged between 7 and 12 have taken part in our training sessions at various clubs, both on Saturday mornings and during the week. 16 youngsters have been playing competitively in entry-level Leagues. We've attracted over 50 children to the Wednesday afternoon sessions at Shobnall Fields over the last 3 weeks, with one more to go next week. Some of these children have tried the game before and will be referred to their local clubs, so if you're approached please make them welcome.
On Wednesday, 22nd September Barton Club will be hosting John Taylor's Health Day. This will involve c.120 first year pupils visiting the club over 4 sessions, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. This is a major coup for Barton and they'll be doing everything they can to make it a success.
The Development Group's AGM has been arranged for Thursday, 11th November at 7.30pm at Henhurst Club. Each club is welcome to send a representative but please inform the secretary, Eunice Ireland, in advance if you wish to do so.
